Los Lagos was the first course built under the leadership of Mateo Pérez Robles, one of the Costa del Sol's tourism pioneers. The course features large fairways and multiple lakes, thus the name Los Lagos, which translates to "The Lakes," as well as water hazards on the 9th and 18th holes.
Los Olivos was built between 1983 and 1984, and later restored between 2000 and 2001. The course is shorter and has a unique feature: an abundance of trees intentionally planted to create narrow olive tree-lined fairways and high greens. The greens are smaller, with undulations and bunkers to defend them. The course is designed for those with advanced technical skills.
Mijas Golf is a well-located complex in the center of the Costa del Sol, approximately 3.5 kilometers from the nearest beaches and within easy driving distance of the coastal cities of Fuengirola, Benalmadena, and Marbella, as well as the lovely Mijas Pueblo.
